Match On Action

MATCH ON ACTION

Match on Action is when an action such as opening a door is shot from two different angles one being outside and one on the inside, the two shots are then cut and edited together to show the subject opening the door to leave and then them coming out of the door from a different anle.

  1. you need to consider why M on A are filmed. Door scenes are usually due to the fact that the cut is used to make two different locations appear as adjacent to each other. So there will be a reason and you need to consider these - can be practical or to emphasise something.
